Best Halloween Events in Glasgow for Adults 2023
Halloween is the centre of the autumn season for many of us, and Glasgow is ready with a lot of cool events. There are a lot of family friendly outings, from pumpkin picking to fairy forests, as well as Halloween events in Glasgow strictly for adults (or at least 16+).
From scary haunted-house like events, to the best dress-up parties, there's something for every Halloween-lover.
Which Halloween event are you going to attend?
1. Escape Game and Costume Contest at Riddle Rooms
I mean, we have to put ourselves in number one position, right?
Even though this year we're not running our super scary adult-only haunted house event, we've planned something pretttty fun, if you're game!
Our escape games have Halloween-worthy themes all year round, like waking up without memories in a creepy hospital (Amnesia Room), investigating a old case of a serial killer (Burns Room), or tuning in to the paranormal to solve the mysterious death of a clairvoyant (Mystery Room). If you want it to become a family-affair, be sure to choose a family-friendly room (like Spy Room or Time Agent Room)!
Book a game between the 28th October and 2nd November, and enjoy our spooky decorations, Halloween treats, and - drumroll - show up in a costume to participate in our very first Costume Contest!

2. Tenement House Spirits Experience
Join a unique Victorian Experience at the Tenement House, in Glasgow's West End.
The program lasts for 3 hours, and is held on the 18th and 19th of October at 7pm. Tickets are limited and cost £20 each, so be fast, they will sell out fast!
The evening is hosted by Cara Hamilton, Astrologer, Mindreader and Victorian Spiritualism and Witchcraft Expert.

3. Gothic Glasgow Halloween Tour
Gothic Glasgow's sinister host Vincent (The Man in the Hat) invites you for a 1 hour 45 minute creepy walking tour of Glasgow, where you can uncover the city's ghostly, dark, and even supernatural history!
You can learn about Glasgow's infamous murderers, ghosts and enjoy the gothic side of your beloved city.
This event takes place every Wednesday-Sunday in October at 8pm, and costs £12 per person. The tour starts from King's Theatre on Bath Street.

4. Witch One Dunnit? Murder Mystery at Sloans
Halloween is the perfct time to try yourself at a murder mystery event, and this one is promising to be witchy!
Watch the actors perform a storyline, examine the evidence, read the witness statements, and figure out the who and why.
This event takes places on the 28th of October at 7pm in Sloans, and costs £45 per person.

5. R-CADE Atmosfear Party
R-CADE is a cool hangout spot for the lovers of retro video games and boardgames - a fun, geeky space in Glasgow's Saltmarket street (Trongate). They have more than 1700 games on 20 retro game consoles.
Their Atmosfear event (strictly 18+) takes place on the 27th of October at 7pm, and costs only £15 per person.
Atmosfear is an epic vhs based horror game from 1991 for up to 6 players. Players have 49 minutes to complete the tasks, collect all of the keys to open the chest before the Gatekeeper comes!
There will be two games running during the night, and you will be able to play in the arcade before and after your turn on Atmosfear.

6. Beetlejuice Movie Night at August House
Enjoy a cozy 18+ Halloween movie night at atmospheric cocktail bar August House on the 18th of October. Arrive at 6pm to sip on some cocktails and get in the mood for the screening startig at 7pm.
Tickets are only £10 and they include the movie screening, a welcome cocktail, cinema-style fries or nachos, and popcorn!

7. Festival of The Dead at O2
If you're not afraid of some metal and electronic music and you're looking for something huge, this is the event for you.
Europe's biggest touring Halloween show promises a mix of circus, clubbing and carnival, set to live soundtracks of rock, metal, dnb and electronic music.
With an array of acrobats, performers, 4 metre tall puppets, and magical characters and creations, it sounds like a night to remember.
The show takes place on Friday 27th October, 9pm - 2am in the O2 Academy Glasgow. Tickets are available from ticketmaster, starting from £37.90.
8. Day of the Deid at Saint Luke's
If you're not convinced about the big O2 event, here's an alternative for you for Saturday, the 28th of October.
Saint Luke's is hosting a true latin fiesta inspired by the mexican el dia de los muertos, the day of the dead, with face paint, live music and tequila.
Expect piñatas, dance performances, Latin tunes, sugar skulls, Mexican cocktails, physical theatre performers and more...
Tickets are starting from £22.50 and can be purchased online. Event is for 18+ only, and begins at 7pm.
